I am trying to read something new, beyond the themes and authors I am reading. I thought this would be a good way to find some new recommendations.
I will go first – I liked Eileen and The North Woods.
Eileen because it introduced me to the genre of 'unhinged women doing unhinged things', it captures her deranged behavior perfectly, explains them while not justifying any and makes me want to know more even as she spirals.
North Woods because it combines my two fav genres – nature and historical fiction and does more – magic of plot and prose.
