After an excruciating week watching my husband fight a brain injury in the ICU after a very sudden cardiac arrest, he passed away a week ago today. He never regained consciousness, and we had to involve inpatient hospice at the end. I don't know whether to ask for a certain type of fiction that can distract me from the current hell I'm living (I'm usually partial to crime thrillers and historical fiction) or practical books on how to be widow and a single mother and help my toddler daughter adjust to life without her favorite person.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
