something like the comfort book but more story based.
non book example would be barakamon (an anime) that can be applied for humor too.
for comedy I like george carlin and scott pilgrim movie.
thanks
you can never go wrong with Terry Pratchett, feel good and funny and wise at the same time – I’ve read so far *Equal Rites*, *Wyrd Sisters* and *Witches Abroad* and loved them; what I’ve seen recommended and intend to read are also *Guards Guards, Mort, Carpe Jugulum*

Ah, sounds like you’re seeking a good chuckle wrapped up in an engaging storyline! Based on the vibes you enjoy from Barakamon and your appreciation for George Carlin’s humor, I think “[A Walk in the Woods](https://wydgetlabs.com/?red=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fdp%2FB019QX8NK0%3F%26psc%3D1%26linkCode%3Dll1%26tag%3Damznwydget-20%26th%3D1%26language%3Den_US)” by Bill Bryson would suit you perfectly. Bryson strikes a great blend of humor, adventure, and everyday life, similar to what you enjoy about Carlin.
Another great option might be “[Good Omens](https://wydgetlabs.com/?red=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fdp%2FB0BYZ6RH44%3F%26psc%3D1%26linkCode%3Dll1%26tag%3Damznwydget-20%26th%3D1%26language%3Den_US)” by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. It’s a comedy about the end of the world, and the authors’ wit and humor are brilliant. These should definitely bring a smile to your face!
