Hello everyone!
As a book nerd, who once considered fiction books forbidden and a waste of time (which I definitely regretted), I have had many wonderful experiences in the fantasy world over the past year!
About a year ago, I started reading The Lord of the Rings series, and I really loved it! After finishing it, I bought The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, and The History of Middle-earth series as well. I have only been reading Professor Tolkien's works for a whole year. However, I wanted to read all of the books in their original language, and as a Persian guy, it wasn't easy to get used to Tolkien's peculiar writing style. Tolkien's vast world-building is rich with deep details, and you should expect a dense world containing intricate interconnections between its elements. Some people say his works are archaic and hard to read, but I absolutely LOVE them!
Also, I'm honored to announce that I have started reading the Harry Potter series too! I have been reading this book for almost a month, and I just finished the sixth chapter of the first book (Harry Potter and Philosopher's Stone), and I want to say, as a newbie, I love it! It is really easy to read, and the story has been fascinating so far. I mean, I can't put it down, for real! It is just hard not to read it 😅 Moreover, I bet that as I continue, I will love it even more.
I'm really glad that I have connected with both of these awesome fictional worlds. Currently, I'm reading the sixteenth chapter of The Silmarillion, along with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Finally, as a non-native English speaker, I'm super happy to have been able to read these astonishing masterpieces in English – apparently, with the great help of you nice people! ❤️
