Finally got my wife into reading and she’s got a voracious appetite lol. In the past, she has enjoyed the twilight saga, the hunger, games trilogy, and Harry Potter. She has read Janet Ivanovich the Stephanie Plum series and enjoyed them, but found them way too corny. Currently she keeps being handed romance novels from her mother, which she finds just a bit too graphic (in a non-realistic way, I don’t know what that means) and she didn’t care for Confessions of a shop-a-holic.
More recently and more to the point she has gotten into Emily Henry, and absolutely loves her books and has read them all. I’m looking for suggestions along that line; she doesn’t really care for the genres/authors I read.

Has she heard of Emily Giffin’s books?
Sarah Adams books – when in Rome, the cheat sheet
Consider: Nora Roberts, Christina Lauren, Meg Cabot and Curtis Sittenfeld (for something with more substance: Romantic Comedy was definitely a Romance, but I haven’t read Rodham yet).
Carley Fortune. She, alongside Emily Henry, was one of the popular authors of the summer season.
I would also consider Ali Hazelwood. She writes romance as well, but each book has a different element with STEM, which is really cool. I think her most recent book involves chess and comes out on Tuesday.
Based on her past likes and less Emily Henry — Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. It’s billed as Hunger Games but with dragons.
Falon Ballard, Christina Lauren, Taylor Jenkins Reid, are some authors she might check out that are romance but in my opinion still fun, captivating, dramatic novels
The Raven Boys!
Sarah Hogle and Christina Lauren
SO MANY: Sally Thorne (The Hating Game, Second First Impressions) Sarah Hogle (You Deserve Each Other, Twice Shy), if she doesn’t mind YA, I love Kasie West, in particular PS I Like You and The Moment of Truth.
Books by Katherine Center are the closest I’ve found to Emily Henry
Marian Keyes and Jenny Colgan are two options – Marian Keyes deals with heavier topics but very accessible. Jenny Colgan is just light romantic fun mostly.
If she likes fantasy she would probably devour all the Sarah J Maas books. It’s fantasy and romance.
All these suggestions are so good, I have ordered a book from most of these authors. You all have suggested thank you so much.
