I wanted to share this because this book hit me deeply. I came across it at book fair. It brought to me memories of what my family went through in Pakistan. It has corruption, bigotry, and reminders that military rule is more the norm for my country. I found that I had to stop reading many times, but I kept on going because it is also a story of love and family. The writing is very good. If you like dystopian novels that have very complex characters, I recommend this.
