I just read this for the first time, having read 1984 in high school. And holy cow it's absolutely terrifying how like… it's all happening right now. The doublethink and "alternate facts" already blew my mind a little but reading this it's like a playbook for crummy business/government/politicians and its happening right in front of our eyes. Orwell was either a prophet or a keen observer of humanity, but I want to believe it has never been as blatant as it seems to be right now.
It's super short, only like 140 pages, I advise everyone if you haven't yet to read it. Hug your loved ones and make sure you do whatever you can to not let whatever your animal farm is to become the manor farm.
