Recommend for me a book that reads like a Hallmark Christmas movie but doesn’t involve Christmas. I’m a mom and in nursing school, so I don’t need anything that is too deep, just something light and fluffy to help me turn off my brain at the end of the day.
It needs to be well written – often cheesy romance is poorly edited and I honestly can’t stand it!
I’m not fundamentally opposed to some spice, but in this instance I’m looking for something with a little more build up and a little more sweetness.

I loved A Fine Romance by Susan Branch. Pure charm and comfort.
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. It’s set during WWII and that definitely plays a role in the plot, but it’s not too heavy. Overall a very sweet and charming book.
