Getting a little tired of the doom and gloom. Want to expand myself by pushing into a more optimistic and hopeful outlook. Can be of any genre. I am kinda looking for the more philosophical direction. But again anything that you finished feeling better will work. Thanks 🙂

i wanna know more about what resonates with u, if u like feminist/queer stories (i have a lot of recs) or if ur looking for something that makes u more sure of urself, or more confident in the outside world/others, or something else!
i can recommend the before the coffee gets cold series. it’s a really touching series that really makes you feel connected to people.
i can also recommend anything by banana yoshimoto, she has a really beautiful way of seeing the world and sharing her perspective that makes you look at things with a new curiosity, a newness or whimsy. in one of her books she described the moon as a cutout on a black construction paper sky, that really stuck with me. i’d recommend goodbye tsugumi, but kitchen is well-loved by many.
