My brother and I were having a conversation the other day about reading habits.
I was reminiscing about the good old days of the Book-It program at Pizza Hut and how it is probably the main reason I became an avid reader while young. (We were pretty poor and didn’t get to eat out much)
For those who may not remember(or know), Book-It was a reading incentive program that rewarded kids with free personal pan pizzas for reaching their reading goals.
I’m curious to know….did participating in Book-It have an impact on your relationship with reading as you grew up? Did it encourage you to pick up more books, or was it just a fun way to get pizza?
