Not exactly looking for regular Lovecraftian cosmic horror, but those suggestions are welcome. I would prefer something in a far future setting, maybe with a civilization in space. More of a delve into the mysteries of this fictional universe, like ancient alien civilizations or the driving forces of the universe itself. Sorry if this description isn't great, I'm just not completely sure how to word it. I'd also appreciate suggestions for any other form of media also, like films, shows, graphic novels, videogames, and anything else.
If you also have anything that falls under hard sci-fi or is a bit more grounded, I'll take that, too. Thank you!

Not an exact match but perhaps have a look at The Library at Mt Char to see if it interests you. Definitely one of the most bizarre/terrifying concepts of a gos I’ve seen.
