Just finished A Walk In The Park by Kevin Fedarko. Fantastic book about adventure, history, geology and anthropology. His book The Emerald Mile is also one of my favorites. I love these kinds of books but have trouble finding more like them. I often see ones about alpinism or the South Pole, and written by athletes instead of bone fide writers. Anyone have some engrossing reads that combine some of these elements??
