I'm not looking for fantasy novels, more so literary fiction that blurs the lines between speculation and reality. The closest example I can give for reference for what I'm looking for is Akwaeke Emezi's Freshwater.
This is for an academic project hence the specificity lol.

I’ve heard Toni Morrison’s *Beloved* be described as magical realism, but I don’t know if it fully fulfills your request.
