Just finished reading y/a fantasy novel "Billy Lemonade" by Sarah J Maxwell and I have never been quite more enthralled by something as I have this book. With the tag line "When a heartbroken girl befriends a desperate boy, secrets haunting them may tear them apart", the book may be not what you expect, but has a perfect mix of everything that you would expect in a book like this but the ending, without spoiling anything has left me needing more. The author has outdone herself. It came up as a suggested read on amazon and will be getting copies of her other books. Is 100% worth a read if you are into fantasy.
