I have looked all over the internet for this and it seems like nobody has a good answer to this question as nothing quite compares, I got recommended "A Separate Peace", and I like it so far, but the writing is not nearly as good, to be fair to the author, it is kind of a YA book so that's to be expected. I especially want a book that alludes to history/linguistics or some other subject in the way that the Secret History does.

Babel by R. F. Kuang has an alternate history in which linguistics plays a part. You might consider it a YA novel though.
Saturday by Ian McEwan references the time after 9/11 but before the invasion of Iraq.
Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer – references the aftermath of 9/11.
If We Were Villains reminded me a *lot* of The Secret History. It’s shorter and about drama students obsessed with Shakespeare. I actually liked it more than TSH.
You might like *The Name of the Rose* by Umberto Eco and how it alludes to semiotics
