this is how you lose the time war – something new, unexpected, and did not see that plot twist coming . Very short! Fantasy/sci-fi
Moon called – this is a book series about a mechanic who turns into an underdog coyote in a werewolf world and who goes about things in a normal reasonable thought and is thrown into bigger and bigger problems. This main character feels like a best friend. There is a reasonable romance that starts here and progresses through the series. This author does a great job of pacing her books. Paranormal fantasy
The fifth season – this is a very long book in a trio of bucks and the main character feels very knowable. They are not a perfect person and they have made mistakes but you can relate with them and their drive. There are some plot twists in here that I definitely did not see coming and things just got worse and deeper and deeper until the very end of the book. What’s neat about this book is that it feels like a very fleshed out world, something that could well have happened and a brand new world. It has some things in writing that I have not seen done before and that work well. There is some romance in this book but it is not the traditional type of romance – it is not what you would expect. Fantasy
The mummy by Anne Rice – this is exactly what you would expect. Fantasy.
