Be it an industry, or the way a country works, or how a product like cars have developed over time, or a field like medicine, law, or how an invention changed things, whatever
I don't want to follow a character around. I want to learn stuff. It could be a book that really teaches how, for example, law works in the US. Or about how poverty has changed in the last 20 years.
I just read a fiction book and I would like to learn something new, and not from the perspective of a character.
Think like, a good textbook. Something like that.
No abstract philosophy please.
