A few that I couldn’t put down and neglected my entire life and stayed up way too late to read:

We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer — unsettling, uncanny, and unputdownable. Couple moves onto an old house and on the night of a snowstorm a family of five shows up at the door saying they used to live there and would love to look around. Something (everything) feels off and you are desperate to unravel the mystery and connect the dots. Also you’ll be afraid to sleep with the lights off.

The Women by Kristin Hannah — heartbreaking and atmospheric story about a Vietnam nurse. Once you start reading you are THERE right inside the story. You feel every emotion know to humankind and this book feels like a movie in your mind.

The Book of Doors — magical, mind bending, and heart pounding. A girl is working in a bookstore one snowy night when a customer passes away unexpectedly inside the store leaves a small magical book addressed to the main character. As she explores the books powers the story evolves from cozy to a deadly high stakes plot.

When you watch TV shows, movies or video games, what do you like?

Is romance a yes or a no for you?

Is horror a yes or a no for you?

      Fantasy? Science fiction? Realism? Historical?

    3. I just finished Endurance. It’s the true story of Ernest Shackletons expedition to Antarctica and everything that went wrong. It’s really gripping and could not put it down.
If you want fiction try The Martian, you’ll be on edge the whole time
