Can you please suggest a book for a 5 year old who is not really drawn to reading. Something funny preferably and accessible. I emphasis that these are books that a 5 year old who is not keen can read, so I'm looking for simple. Thanks

The 13-Storey Treehouse got my son into reading when he was 5. Lots of silliness and visuals to break up the actual reading.
Captain Underpants by Dav Pilkey
Henry Hecklebeck series
Timmy Failure series by Stephan Pastis
_The Short-sighted Giraffe_ by A. H. Benjamin.
_The Most Wonderful Thing in the World_ by Vivian French.
“The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales” is always great for a laugh. I’m in my 40s and still laugh at it. Jon Scieszka’s written a lot of great, funny books.
“The Plant that Ate Dirty Socks” by Nancy McArthur was another favorite of mine.
