I want to get into writing short stories and looking for some really good ones to learn from, I have read ALL Agatha Christie and I do really like her writing style. Others that I have tried:
- The Innocence of Father Brown
- few different Ngaio Marsh (wasn't a fan because it felt like 75% of the book was the inspector sitting in a room listening to witness reports back to back which I found to be a bit of a slog)
- A couple different Josephine Tey (Also wasn't a fan her characters felt especially shallow even for a whodunnit which made the mystery aspect boring for me because I always knew who did it)
It doesn't have to just be whodunnit style mysteries, I also really like horror where there is a strong mystery component to it.
