I just finished reading The Radium Girls, and while it's a solid 5/5 book and I think everybody should know about it, it was also extremely hard to get through, emotionally. So now I am in desperate need for something light, fun & hopeful! I'd love sci-fi (like Becky Chambers), but any genre is welcome! 🙂

How about The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna?
Any of Ian Flemings books about James Bond. They are crackers! darker than the films but face paced, well written and not too long.
Mr. Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore is a good bet. I bought it at the airport and read it on the plane cover to cover
