I really enjoyed "Pre-Suasion" by Robert Cialdini and that is a perfect example of the kind of book I’m talking about. He cited his sources, specified how many people were involved, and mentioned how it applies to his points about human behavior and how to use it to your advantage. His little insertions of humor was bonus.
Slightly similar was "Homo Deus" by Yuval Harari, and it's also a good example. "The Art of Thinking Clearly" is a little too textbook-y but close in terms of discussing heuristics and biases; not enough examples and citations though.
