Not sure if you’re looking for fiction books but I enjoyed Tomorrow & Tomorrow & Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin.

Tracking down a physical copy is nearly impossible these days, but if you can find a download for it, *Half-Life 2: Raising the Bar* is a fantastic read.
Although, tracking down a digital copy is also complicated by the existence of a mod with the same title.
