I’m love a short book that packs a punch (A Short Stay in Hell, Night, Yellow Wallpaper). Something that I can finish in a day, but while I’m reading it I’ll be so engrossed that I forget my own name.
What else do you else do you have to recommend?

* *Chronicle of a Death Foretold*, Gabriel Garcia Marquez
* *Passing*, Nella Larsen
* *Heart of Darkness,* Joseph Conrad
* *Night*, Elie Wiesel (oh, you have already read it. There’s *The Trial of God*, I believe over the page limit though).
* *Between the World and Me*, Ta-Nehisi Coates
* *Seize the Day*, Saul Bellow
And there are a lot of intense plays under 150 pages.
