I got home at night and went to finish a book that turned out to make me feel so paranoid and claustrophobic, I thought maybe I should put it down and finish it in the morning when the sun was out. I’ve been looking for another book that gives me that same feeling.
Some books that I enjoyed and remember making me feel this way were “The Drowning Kind” by Jennifer McMahon and “The Haunted” by Bentley Little.
I do enjoy haunting and psychological thriller books, but am open to any other plots or genres.

Does my checkbook count?😬
The girl who loved Tom Gordon – Stephen King
He wrote this book when he found out he was losing his sight. It’s about a little girl who gets lost in the woods and it makes you feel very overwhelmed and claustrophobic because it’s all psychological 👌
The Deep- Nick Cutter
Ouuuuh you might love The Deep by Nick Cutter! Claustrophobic AF
When Darkness Loves Us. Just the titular story for what you’re looking for, but the whole book is great and disturbing.
Maybe “Beacon 23” by Hugh Howey
