I love September/October and the run up to Halloween and I love a good scare, however I am looking for some horror books that aren’t too serious. I’m thinking something with a bit of a retro feel to it, or perhaps the Discworld equivalent to horror!

Horrorstör by Grady Hendrix quirky haunted house style set in a store like IKEA it’s not too unserious kinda blends satire with horror
Someone You Can Build a Nest In by John Wiswell? It’s described as horror, but I personally didn’t find it scary. It has some dark, emotionally harrowing moments, but also some great heartwarming moments, as well as a little comedy.
The September House! It deals with serious topics but is also really irreverent and funny.
I haven’t read the sequels yet, but I loved {{John Dies at the End by David Wong}}
