We all know to not judge a book by its cover, but sometimes the cover is the best part of the book. The cover is what grabs our attention and introduces readers to the story before reading a single word. Regardless of the actual content or quality of the book itself, what is the best cover you’ve ever seen?
For me personally it’s this copy of Dune that I picked up from Barnes and Noble ages ago. You can’t see it in the photos but there’s actually a metallic sheen to the dust jacket, and I love the contrast of the copper and teal both in the graphics and the page edges. I spotted this from 20 feet away on a table and immediately zipped over to snatch it up.
I actually bought an old beater paperback copy of the book to actually read later on because I don’t want to tear this one up. I’ve never seen another cover quite like it.

I really liked this cover for the 1995 edition of Lord of the Rings.
