Soo.. I've had quite a rough birthday this week and I desperately need books to cope with what I've been forced to endure.
I was thinking of something like “Of Love and Other Demons” by Gabriel García Márquez, mixed with “Frisk” by Dennis Cooper. I'm into that sort of things, something raw and passionate – but unsettling and stomach-churning.
I'm going to a local library soon, and I really need a recommendation based on what I described to be 'my ideal' book so my stay at the store will be fairly short. I'm quite socially awkward and while I love conversing with the guy who works there, this week wasn't my week.
