Hopefully this is the right place to post a question like this. My girlfriend has been taken up reading as a hobby lately. She has read more books in the last month than I think I have in my life. Most recently, she read a book called “Fourth Wing” by Rebecca Yarros. She finished it in one day and has already preordered the next book that is coming out. Before that she read the entire “A Court of Thorns and Roses” by Sarah J Maas and “From Blood and Ash” by Jennifer Armentrout. Earlier this month she read “Twisted Love” by Ana Huang, a few books by Colleen Hoover like “It Starts with us” and “It Ends With Us”.
I got us library cards so she could continue to read books at the rate that she is reading, but she says she wants to own the books and to share them with her friends. We borrowed a kindle from a family member, and she said it just wasn’t the same as a physical book. I have bought a few of these books and the price is starting to add up. Here was my thought for a Christmas present, but i need help with to not break the bank.
I want to get her an advent calendar of books as a gift (25 books, one for each day of the month of December) but I can’t afford $20 per book. Can anyone help me identify some older, probably used books, that are along the same genre’s as the books listed above? I have some time to browse used book stores, thrift stores, and the internet before the end of the month but really I need a list of where to start. Ideal budget for all the books would be $200ish.
