Looking for books for October/November with a cozy / scary / fall atmosphere, but i also want to expand my reading beyond authors from the US, UK, Germany and France.
I mostly enjoy classics / modern classics and experimental literature, so im looking for novels that have stood the test of time or contributed to the ~literary form~ in their respective countries. Open to straightforward ghost / folk horror, anything that incorporates gothic elements and has a gloomy atmosphere, or just a cozy autumn setting – but ultimately also want to b learning about a new country’s literary tradition as well.
