In December, I'm flying from Melbourne to Beijing (for a 13-hour stop-over), and then from Beijing to Paris. Gruelling.
I need a nice hefty book to take with me. I was thinking maybe Tolstoy, or the new Alexis Wright novel (Praiseworthy), or re-reading 2666.
I will be taking a book of poems (I haven't decided upon which yet) so I'm looking for something with plot. If it has nice prose, I won't be angry however.
Recommendations welcome!
