Looking for a book that explores/describes/theorizes why society is so scared of trans women. Please no suggestions from transphobes or terfs. I don’t want to read anything by someone who doesn’t support the trans community. Thank you!

The Transgender Issue by Shon Faye is a difficult but very good read (it’s UK focused but a lot of the trends and attitudes she talks about are very widespread).

I don’t have a specific book but I would extend your search to books about patriarchal norms for male behavior and why it is so threatening to be perceived as feminine.
Religious extremists believe that our physical shape at birth represents God’s will for our lives. But transphobia extends beyond religious people.

Why wouldn’t you want books by the actual people you’re trying to learn about? You’re not going to get a good answer, asking the way you did.
I want to know why some people are Republican. Non-Republican answers only please.
If you want to actually learn something, do the uncomfortable thing.
