IF there is spice I'm not a fan of "fated mates"
I love magic being just everywhere
I'm not a snob and I'm easily entertained if the world is built lovely and the characters are fun
Funny is good
Grim Dark leaning is not so good
I LOVE "building a town/household/estate" sort of stories

Did you read Bookshops & Bonedust, the Legends & Lattes prequel? It was cute!
I’m going to recommend L.G. Estrella’s Unconventional Heros Series. The found family vibe is very strong with these.
The 2 Necromancers series. 2 Necromancers try to earn a pardon for past crimes by doing odd jobs for a kingdom. Strong found family vibe. The first book in the series is 2 Necromancers, A Bureaucrate, and an Elf.
Attempted Vampirism Series. A vampire noble has his castle (which he describes as cozy) repossessed for back taxes. He becomes an adventurer to try and earn money to buy it back. The first book in the series is Attempted Vampirism.
