Two investigators from two differen countries/political systems have to work together on a case?

Example would be an investigator from Nazi Germany + one from America, I swear I've heard of a book like this recently but forgot what it was.
I like the idea of them having to work together while their home countries/systems are actively making things difficult but the investigation is important to them.
Would prefer it to be historical!
