Hello. This obviously very broad but I will narrow it down.
I don't hate fantasy or scifi as a genre but I tried to get into some series but I feel like they never hook me all that much so maybe I'll see what yall can recommend.
What I am looking for:
-a more interesting setting than medieval fantasy (also I would prefer high magic over low magic)
-for sci-fi I care a lot less about the science part of it.
-I care a lot less about big fights and more about character interaction or fights that are more of a clash of ideals than of strength
-I enjoy politics but I would love it to be more complex than bad king good king or the big band empire (the book can have those tropes but would like more interesting way to do them)
-this is more if a bonus thing but one aspect of one piece that I liked was how the story slowly reveals how grim the world of the series is piece by piece while not losing the light hearted nature of the series, would be interested to know if any series can capture that
Well that's most of what I think I am looking. Would prefer if it has an audiobook version because I rarely if ever read a book. Thanks in advance
