I am being promoted to a team lead position and a lot of the leadership training I am finding is a subtle indoctrination to siding with capital. I am not at work to increase stock price or enrich the c-suite, I am at work to make money so I can feed my kids. I don't expect anyone else to think differently, and I don't want to change this perspective. But I do want to learn how to be a better leader.
I found a similar post from a couple of years ago, but some of the recommendations from that one I have read and found them quite pro-capital, (looking at you, Radical Candor.) Labor leaders and union presidents need to know how to be effective leaders too, right? Where's the literature for them?
Thank you for your time and thoughts.
