I'm 25 and life is a bit of a struggle right now. On top of that I'm working on a Masters in Environmental Science, so it's pretty much everyday that I'm learning about climate change and how bad it can really get. I feel like I need a book that has a more positive outlook on how things will turn out. It doesn't need to be about climate change but would ideally talk about our collective well-being. Fiction would be preferred, any genre. Bonus points if there's a tight knit community/group of friends. Thanks.

    1. I might be way off with this but the murder bot series by Martha Wells. It’s relatable if you’re an introvert, funny, short and not too serious. It’s a future where the world is run by cooperations but the protagonists of the story are super wholesome. We meet ideal communities that are sustainable and thriving. Honestly the main reason for this recommendation is just that I was feeling a similar way to how you described and this book made me feel happy.

I hope some better recommendations come through because I’d like to read something more like what you described as well. lol.

    2. I feel you with the climate change dread!!! Here are some recs… Some of them may be a bumpy ride, but I think overall have a hopeful outlook.
