Hi all! I recently got back into reading. I just finished The Healing of America: a Global Quest for Better, Cheaper, and Fairer Health Care by T.R. Reid. Looking for any suggestions on what to read next!
Specific areas I’m interested in reading about right now:
-self help/mental health, I want to be better in both my romantic and platonic relationships, I want to be a better community member, a better son, etc.
-geopolitics, global affairs has always been a massive interest of mine.
-public health and health policy, I am currently studying public health so it’s super relevant in my life right now
-sports medicine/sports science, before going back to school for public health, I worked in sports med. The Sports Gene and Range, both by David Epstein, are two of my favorite books in this space. But looking for any other suggestions.
Thanks in advance!

The Ghost Map, by Johnson. A root incident in public health.
The Making of the Atomic Bomb, by Rhodes. Physics, human interaction, history, politics, tension, and it reads like a novel.
Some I’ve read and enjoyed, that I think touch on some of the topics you’ve mentioned:
*Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones* by James Clear
*Unwell Women: A Journey Through Medicine and Myth in a Man-Made World* by Elinor Cleghorn
*Empire of Pain: The Secret History of the Sackler Dynasty* by Patrick Radden Keefe
*The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer* by Siddhartha Mukherjee
*Disability Visibility: First-Person Stories from the Twenty-first Century* edited by Alice Wong
{{How Civil Wars Start: And How to Stop Them by Barbara F. Walter}}
