I feel so pretentious saying this but most romance books are such garbage even the highly recommended ones. I am a girl in my 20’s a lot of the time I like my trashy flicks and books but for some reason romantic specific books always seem stupid. I want well written, soul crushing, not stupid side plot lines books.
I liked alone in the ether by Olivia Blake, Archers Voice would have been good if they hadn’t added the plot about the guy robbing her fathers store and then coming after her in the end that was just so extra for added drama. I liked One Day, Normal People. I haven’t even read that many because they always disappoint me. That one Colleen Hoover book November 9 I actually sort of liked with its cheesiness until all the fire plot like bs. Romance books don’t have to have this dramatic plot line to add to the tension. I want the tension made through there love there life not some traumatic one event. So please make some recommendations.
