I want to read a book with entangled plot and great revelations, that plays with reader’s expectations. By entangled plot I mean that I want that I when I read, I don’t understand very well what happened for a big portion of the book. Something intriguing. Preferably takes place in 20th or 21 century.
Thanks in advance

Moscow to the end of the line might be a good one! I kind of hate that book but Russian literature is great for if you want to be wildly confused. The queue is good for this too!
I wouldn’t describe either of these as intricate so much as just…confusing.
Hmmm maybe The Wife and the Widow by Christian White. It’s actually a somewhat straight forward read until you realise you’ve been reading it all wrong.
Have you read Pachinko?
