Suggest me a book with a lot of imagery and descriptions of the changing seasons (spring, summer, fall, winter)

I'm designing for a game that's set in a world with four seasons but I unfortunately live somewhere that has only two seasons (hot+dry and hot+wet) and when I travel abroad obviously I don't stay long enough to experience the four seasons and the changes in between. I have pictures and paintings and bbc shows to use as reference but I don't have the little nuances that people notice about the seasons changing, like how people can tell spring is coming when they see swallows in their backyard. Please suggest me a book of any genre that could help me. I'm especially interested in the transition between seasons – how people (or animals) can tell, how they dread or look forward to the change, etc.
