Hello everyone! I’m looking for some solid recommendations on books to read next, based on what I’ve been into lately. I’m open to one-offs and series, YA or adult (though leaning more adult), really anything goes.
**Looking for:**
* Main character should be woman, female, agender, etc. just preferably not male – and be complex and well-written
* There should be magic powers or some kind of supernatural fantasy element
* Somewhat ‘dark’ in that it’s serious, perhaps some morally grey themes or difficult choices, doesn’t necessarily mean there’s death or war
* Romance is optional, it’s fine if there is or isn’t a love interest

* The Bone Witch (series) by Rin Chupeco
* Vespertine by Margaret Rogerson
* The Bear and the Nightingale (series) by Katherine Arden
* Uprooted & Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik
* Odin’s Child (series) by Siri Pettersen
* For the Wolf (series) by Hannah Whitten
* basically everything by Neil Gaiman
