Alien wars or colonizations of Earth – looking for strange and outstanding sci-fi

Hi, havent read a good sci-fi for a while, looking for something very interesting, like colonization of Eath or wars between several species of Alliens.

Nothing in a way of sci-fi like Alien, looking for some really good but niche titles and intetesting works of authors worldwide.

Will be happy for many suggestions to have to choose from
