I don't mind it being fae, siren, witch, demigod, whatever. I especially love the ones where the MC has to go to a magical academy to learn how to harness their magic.
Unfortunately, I read way too fast and typically devour a 300 page book in hours, so a longer series always makes my day.
As a thank you, I'd like to recommend a great book that stole me away to another world many years ago: The Onion Girl. Fantastic read.

A bit off description – have you ever tried a litrpg? Instead of going to a formal school, these humans are forced into a ‘dungeon’ where they must gain experience to level up and get stronger, and in the case of this series some choose other races.
Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman. If you’re into audiobooks the reader is fantastic!
Also since you mentioned Harry Potter. There’s an adult themed fan fiction called Manacled that is written as if Voldemort wins the war. I usually roll my eyes at fan fic but it’s excellent and free online. You can download the PDF and import into e readers also
Maybe the Scholomance series by Naomi Novik
The Morrigan Crow series by Jessica Townsend would scratch this itch for you! Big Harry Potter vibes, but with a female main character.
Amari and the Night Brothers series
