Fast-moving plot with sense of humor

I like books with lots of sex and/or murder or mental illness, fairly fast moving plot, and also nuanced human relationships and a sense of humor, like Game of Thrones series, Jeffrey Eugenides, Otessa Mosfegh, Curtis Sittenfeld, the motherless Brooklyn by Lethem, Maybe you should talk to someone by Lori Gottlieb, winter’s bone. I made it through some Ian McEwan books, and Trust by Hernan Diaz, but honestly they were a little slow moving for my taste. I tried to read Gone Girl and All the light we cannot see, but the writing was a little too common for me. So I guess I’m looking for a fast-moving plot, but still a little highbrow, for lack of a better word. If there's a genre for what I'm describing, please let me know!
