I like stuff with a lot of blood, abuse, etc. HEAVY thriller. One book like this that I want more of is called Shallow River by H.D. Carlton, and if I could have something similar to that that'd be great.
Please don't accuse me of being weird. I like reading about these things because I've experienced a lot of my own stuff in my past. It comforts me in some odd way.

Have you read any Karin Slaughter? It sounds like her books would suit you. There’s one main series, plus some standalone novels.
