I read alot as a kid. My parents were anti-technology, so I kind of had to be.
I read whatever I could get my hands on, mainly fiction because I was a kid. Slowed down once I got a phone, mostly read comics and fanfics before April hit, and a girl I liked got me into the "Shatter Me" series ( nothing amazing, but plot was intriguing enough and the dialogue was pretty good outside of the romance crap).
Now I want to start reading actual books again, but I have no idea where to start. I'm open to anything, but anything that has really snappy dialogue, some mystery and subversion, dark but not depressing, and some action is preferred (action doesn't have to mean fighting, I love some psychological warfare).
I usually gravitate more to series, but I would like some standalones as well. Thanks in advance!
