{{Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ’s Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore}} – humorous take on Christ’s childhood told from the perspective of his irreverent best friend.
{{Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir}} – lone astronaut on a mission to save Earth from a dying sun. Good story, loveable characters, quick read.

The book that really got me into reading again as an adult was The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson, the first book in the Mistborn trilogy and set in his larger Cosmere of works. A nicely-paced, accessible intro to fantasy – it could lead you into Sanderson’s many series and books, or just give you a taste of whether modern fantasy is for you.
