I’m looking for non-fiction books that discuss the trauma and treatment for survivors of war. Ideally not only focused on military veterans— looking for civilian experiences as well.
In short, I’m researching what rebuilding trust, community, institutions, etc. looks like in communities affected by war. In a lot of conflicts, the US or other Western countries will throw money at the problem to rebuild but money can only help rebuild so much…
