I don't know how many people are familiar with the Instagram page 'Nature is metal', but it shows the brutal reality of the natural world when it comes to animals and the cycle of life.
I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions for books that talk about that topic. Maybe from the perspective of a biologist or something similar.

Post title instantly made me think of histories of war even before I thought about books about disease, murder, etc etc. It might do no harm to gently remind that Nature is Metal lot that they’re animals & part of nature.
